The dynamic elastic properties of the canine left circumflex coronary artery.

Abstract Pressure and diameter recordings were made from 12 excized, saline filled segments of the left circumflex coronary artery (LCCA), held at in vivo lengths. Diameter was recorded using an electrical caliper. Static and dynamic incremental moduli were computed and the results show the LCCA to have static and dynamic elastic properties consistent with those of other muscular arteries.
