How 'Vagrant Current' Became Impressed Current Cathodic Protection -Part 2

"Vagrant current," as stray current from the electric streetcar was called in the early 20th century, was largely to blame for underground utility corrosion. It was also the unwitting parent of modern impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP). This historical article presents the early understanding of stray current in Part 1 and its mitigation and transition to ICCP in Part 2, to be published in December 2008 MP.
