An Enquiry into Energy-saving Design of Buildings in Maoming

Different regions have different weather characteristics and natural resources.And regional climatic features determine that energy-saving approaches in architecture should conform to the regional needs both climatically and geographically.The authors of this paper analyze the climatic features of Maoming,the status quo of the local architecture and energy-wasting phenomena in the region.In addition,the authors enquire into energy-saving approaches available to Maoming as well as the key points in the design of energy-saving buildings by putting forward a series of energy-saving approaches concerning several aspects of saving energy ——to economize on energy from the programming,outside hasp,roof of the wall,equipments etc.Meanwhile the authors also point out that a public awareness of the importance of energy-saving problems should be enhanced.
