A Method for Reconstruction of Constraint-Based Solid Feature Model

On the basis of segmenting 3D measured data with feature design intention, the parameter extraction of the features obtained by several common modeling methods such as extruding, revolving, blending and fitting of sketch profile is transformed into the resolution of constraint optimization problem. With the interface of component application architecture(CAA) which is the secondary development platform of computer aided three dimentional interactive application(CATIA), the parameterized solid feature models can be reconstructed. Experimental results demonstrate that the method presented here is reliable.
