Visible light communication system and method

The invention discloses a visible light communication system and method. The visible light communication system comprises a signal transmitting terminal and a signal receiving terminal. The transmitting terminal is used for converting information source signals to be sent into multiple paths of parallel digital information and modulating the multiple paths of parallel digital information to corresponding multiple paths of parallel OOK signals, and the OOK signals are used for driving a plurality of LED light emitting devices in an LED lamp to emit light, wherein each path of OOK signal correspondingly drives one LED light emitting device. Light intensity superposition is generated in the propagation process of light signals transmitted by the LED light emitting devices in the LED lamp, and then hybrid visible light signals are formed. The signal receiving terminal is used for receiving the visible light signals, converting the visible light signals into PAM signals, demodulating the PAM signals and acquiring the information source signals. By the adoption of the technical scheme, the amount of transmitted information and the information transmission speed of the visible light communication system are increased.
