Co-design for Networked Control Systems Based on Vary-period Sample Approach

Network is the transmission channel for control data in NCS,so scheduling is the inevitable problem which should be taken into account. A dynamic scheduling strategy based on variable-period sampling was proposed. The sample periods of the control systems sharing network resource were adjusted online according to the current network running performance in order to reduce the probabilities of delay and data-packet dropout. The NCS scheduled by the dynamic scheduling method is a variable-period sampling system. By equivalent transformation, the NCS could be modeled as a discrete time system with parametrical uncertainties. Then a state-feedback controller was designed to guarantee D-stability of the NCS. Finally, simulation results show that this new variable-period sampling scheduling policy can achieve better performance and the modeling and control approach for variable-period sampling NCS are effective.
