Improvements to Method for Computing Temperature of the Tube Wall of Superheater and Reheater in Power Plant Boiler

An improved method for computing temperature of the tube wall of superheater and reheater in boiler is introduced. In this method, the tube bank and single pipe firstly are discretized into small units, secondly the calculation of radiation and convection is carried out on those units with the same sequence as that of the flowing of the water in the pipe; then the temperature of the tube wall can be acquired. Two dimensional profile of gas temperature on the exit section of the furnace is used as the initial condition. The calculation equations is deduced from the basic radiation and convection equations; the factors affecting tube wall temperature are more comprehensively and meticulously described. Based on the method, temperature distribution of the tube wall can be easily and accurately acquired by computational program. Figs 7, table 1 and refs 8.
