A Study on the Equation of Running Resistance for Honam High Speed Train

In this study, it has been analyzed on the equation of running resistance for Honam high speed train. Running resistance has to be considered as main parameter to calculate traction force and to make train performance simulation. In principle, running resistance must be measured in flat and straight track, but we don't have that sort of track. In this study, we measured velocity-time data in short range of velocity and synthesize these data to make full scale running resistance of Honam high speed train. And we compared experimental results with predicted ones and analyzed running resistance of relevant trains.
