Control systems for United Stirling 4-95 engine in solar application

A brief description is given of the 4-95 solar engine and a detailed discussion on different control systems that can be used in order to maintain the heater head temperature constant and independent of solar insolation level. Engine test results from a standard 4-95 engine where the heat input has been varied to simulate a variation in solar insolation are used for transient response analysis. 3 refs.
