Optimization Design of a New Load Sharing Multi-stage Planetary Gear Train

A new load sharing two-stage planetary gear transmission system for wind turbine gearbox was proposed.A formula for computing the transmission ratio was given by using the kinematic inversion method.Simulative analysis showed that the transmission ratio increases with the value of characteristic parameter of planetary gear train.When the ratio is in the interval,the maximum value is 73.Optimization design model with minimal volume was established,in which the boundary constraints were considered.The result showed that the optimal method is an effective way to reduce the volume of the three-stage planetary gearbox.
