Electromagnetic tuned dynamic vibration absorber : Experimental characterization

The electromagnetic tuned Dynamic Vibration Absorber (DVA) experiments are presented. A DVA enables vibration cancellation around a tuned frequency. This research uses permanent magnets in conjunction with an electromagnet to alter the system stiffness, thereby shifting the DVA natural frequency and the combined system cancellation frequency range.
