Study on temperature characteristic of metal resonator and compensation for solid wave gyro

Temperature is a major factor restricting the gyro accuracy and other performance, thus it is concerned in the study of various types of gyro technology. Effects of temperature on the solid wave gyro mainly reflect in the gyro bias and measurement accuracy, and the fundamental reason is that the changes of temperature have an impact on the vibration characteristics of the metal resonator. This paper studied the effects of temperature on the vibration characteristics of the metal resonator through the combination of theory, simulation and test. A new way to improve the gyro performance under temperature is provided.
