REM7 – 2014

The 7th meeting on Recent Developments in the Study of Radiation Effects in Matter was held in Budapest, Hungary between 9 and 12 of July 2014. The 7th REM focused on the recent developments in ion–matter interaction, ion beam characterisation and ion beam modification of matter, especially the study and modification of nanomatters. More than 40 participants from 14 countries all over the world presented their recent results and could discuss on interesting scientific problems. The major topics were ion–solid interactions, computer simulation of ion– solid interactions, ion beam-induced damage in compounds, ion beam modification of materials, ion–solid interactions in ion beam analysis, ion track-related processes, radiation-induced effects in compounds, radiation-induced effects in device applications and radiation effects in atomic and molecular structures.
