The Status of the Management and the Countermeasures Analysis of Higher Education Credit System

Credit system, based on the elective system as units of measurement to calculate the amount of learning and flexibility of learning process, is a new teaching management system well adapting to the needs of social and educational development. In this paper, Xi'an University of Technology is the research object; the teaching and management of its credit system and the recognition of students during the past four years are studied. It is shown that more than 80% of students approve of the credit system and satisfy with its teaching and learning performance; and more than 50% choose the teachers mainly on the basis of their teaching styles and titles. In line with the analysis of research results, problems arising in the implementation process of the credit system are summarized and feasible countermeasures combining with the practice are ultimately put forward.
