Nonexistence of positive solution of a class of nonlinear difference equation

Sufficient conditions are derived for the nonexistence of positive solution of a class of nonlinear difference equations. The conditions are based on nonexistence of positive characteristic roots of the characteristic equation of the nonlinear difference equation.
