The invention discloses a self-balancing tied arch system for improving bearing force of a PSC continuous box girder bridge and a reinforcing method by applying the self-balancing tie bar arch system, and belongs to the technical field of building construction. The PSC continuous box girder bridge is reinforced through a self-balancing stress state structure of a tied arch, and therefore the bearing force of the PSC continuous box girder bridge is improved; the tied arch is arranged on the area of a central separation band on the face of the PSC continuous box girder bridge; arch feet of the tied arch are arranged on the bridge face and are in tensile connection through a tie bar; lifting rods are connected with vertical prestress ribs of a web of a box girder, and therefore loads borne by the box girder of the PSC continuous box girder bridge act on an arch rib through the vertical prestress ribs and the lifting rods; the tied arch is assisted in bearing loads of the bridge face of the box girder, and therefore the effect of improving the bearing force of the PSC continuous box girder bridge is achieved.
