Experimental research on MUSIC algorithm direction finding using vector-hydrophone array

A lake trial of three-element vector hydrophone linear array was carried out to test the validity and practicability of MUSIC algorithm.Experimental results show that the performance of DOA estimation using MUSIC spatial spectrum is improved comparing with that using conventional beamforming.The sidelobes of MUSIC spatial spectrum are depressed and the right angle estimation are given by the MUSIC spectrum is free from the effect of the undersampled wavefield.
