The Dynamic Design of Standing Wave Linear USM with Double-Contact Surfaces

In this paper,the operating principle of a standing wave linear USM with double-contact surfaces is proposed and the dynamic design of the vibrator is analyzed utilizing the software of ANSYS. The prototype of USM is developed.The slider of USM is consisted of two same vibrators in the proto- type,in which has double-contact surfaces drive,so high driving power can be obtained.Linear move- ments back and forth are realized using flexural modes of B_3 and B_5 respectively.
