Spectral Analysis of UWB Signals for Solving Problems of Plane-Layered Media Sensing

Computational experiments of numerical modeling of the UWB pulse signals diffraction on plane-layered media are carried out. First of all, the spectral characteristics of reflected signals are investigated. The values of the electrophysical parameters of the studied structures are chosen on the basis of the practical problem of nondestructive testing of road pavements and building constructions. The GeoVizy software is used for computing experiments. Obtained results allow to optimize GPR pulse parameters. The results analysis also showed the possibility of improving the technique for processing of the signals reflected from plane-layered media.
