Analysis of impedance matrix in transformer windings through the Finite Element Method (FEM)

This paper analyzes the impedance matrix of an equivalent circuit used to model frequency response in different sections of transformer windings. The studies of the matrix are made changing the properties of the core and calculating the eigenvalues and determinants for each one. Finally the influence of axial displacements in the frequency response are analyzed with the support of the Finite Element Method FEM. This work describes the circuit used to model windings for analyst frequency response, to model the influence of core is used FEM for describing the behavior of impedance in function of the frequency.
