The Laboratory Scan Line Corrector Test Method

Scan line corrector(SLC) is an important part of the camera that collects the data in a whisk broom way. SLC runs, in a specific rule, so synchronized with the scanning mirror that the leakage area and overlap area between the adjacent scanning stripes can disappear and be minimized respectively. The traditional way to test the correction by an exterior imaging experiment has disadvantages of high cost, long period and the high environment requirements. A method to test the SLC's correction in laboratory based on target is researched and found in this paper. The D-value of the SLC Forward and Opposite Correction are used as an intermediate quantity. The SLC's starting point of the linear segment can be calculated by designing proper match function. Then we can get the SLC's correction. The validity of the method was verified by the exterior imaging experimentation.
