Chemistry associated with hypersonic vehicles

A series of chemical equilibrium, chemical nonequilibrium, and thermal nonequilibrium calculations are performed for various chemical processes related to a Single Stage To Orbit Hydrogen Fueled Airbreathing Hypersonic Vehicle (SSTOHFAHV). The processes include air dissociation downstream of a 60and 30-deg oblique shock and Hi-air combustion. The calculations are applied to two typical SSTOHFAHV trajectories.
