An Introduction to Computer Assisted Methods in Tertiary‐Level Chemical Education

Summary The development of computing for chemistry students at The Polytechnic, Woverhampton, is traced from 1967. A philosophy has emerged during this period which emphasises the need for both simple and more complex programs in chemical education at the tertiary level. Examples of presently‐used programs are discussed and a suggestion is made that we may now be entering a period of consolidation and validation.
