Analysis on the influencing factors of the temperature field of involute gears

The finite element model of the gear temperature field was established. The boundary conditions of temperature field (frictional heat-low-rate,convection heat transfer coefficient of end face and convection heat transfer coefficient of tooth surfaces) were calculated and the nonlinear characteristics of the above stated boundary conditions were analyzed concretely. The distribution of temperature field under all kinds of different operational conditions of gears was obtained by calculational analysis. The result of analysis showed that the rotation speed of gear,torque of the out putting end and environmental temperature were the principal affection parameters of gear temperature field.
