0.1 eV HgCdTe photoconductive detector performance

Abstract Progress in the development of 0.1 eV HgCdTe photoconductive detectors has resulted in D ∗ and responsivity performance approaching the theoretical thermal limit predicted by Auger recombination theory over a wide temperature range, together with significant improvements in l/f noise, array uniformity and bake stability. Simple Auger theory also accounts for the measured variation of ɡ- r noise with temperature above 70°K.
