Recently, the studies to reduce building vibration are widely progressing for the improvement of the economical efficiency and the habitability of building. As one of these, there is the passive control to decrease the vibration by damper in the inside of buildings when an earthquake occurs. In particular, Elasto-Plastic steel damper absorbing energy by deforming steel in plastic state is effective in respect to the maintenance and cost of the material. But, it is yet our reality that the quantitative analysis ability of structural control owing to the hysteretic damper is sufficient. Also, it is difficult to perform the complicated nonlinear structure analysis again from the first stage of structural plan. Accordingly, this research catches the structural characteristic of the low yield point steel damper and then investigates the evaluation method for application of damper to confirm simply in the early step.
