The seismic capacity of electric cabinets in nuclear power plants can be normally determined by shaking table tests. However, these tests cannot be used for the cabinets that have already been installed in operating plants since the cabinets are not permitted to be removed from the plants to be mounted on the shaking table. In this paper, the modal parameters of electrical cabinets in Kori Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 have been identified by using in-situ impact hammer tests. The tests prove their practicality and accuracy for the in-situ dynamic tests of the cabinet-type equipment.
