Image Retrieval using Wavelet Decomposition, Color Correlogram and Color Mean

Our paper is aimed at developing an application system which implements a retrieval method which combines color and texture feature for retrieval of images from large image databases. This is applicable for the fast growing world as it serves the society in retrieving the data from the database. Traditional keyword based search has been found to be inefficient for retrieval of the required data. In this we use CBIR (Content Based Image Retrieval) concepts to retrieve images from dataset. In this we are retrieving images by using techniques like Wavelet decomposition, Colorcorrelogram, Median Cut algorithm, and Color Mean. For testing the final feature vectors of an input image with the database images we used SVM (Support Vector Machine) classifier. We developed this application for medical stream. One can easily find the similar medical cases of any particular disease by using previous images of such cases.
