Construction of block modulation codes over rings for fading channels

A new methodology is described for construction of block coded modulation (BCM) over modulo-8 rings for fading channels. Code construction criteria are defined to obtain the maximum use of channel characteristics and to achieve the phase invariance property. Some code examples are presented.
