In order to maintain the high efficiency during boiler operation, new method of monitoring & reviewing the thermal performance is needed for effective performance management. For these reasons, real-time performance monitoring system has been developed to introduce to fossil power plant boiler. The system represents a suite of related software modules which consist of on-line data, and on-line performance modules, that is 3 models, and 30 modules. This system also can help the plant staff get the most out of their facilities by continuously monitoring deviations in equipment performance and the impact on those deviations on heat loss, performance index and operating cost.
