Performance Analysis of Receive Collaboration in TDMA-based Wireless Sensor Networks

This paper presents a general framework to enable the implementation of receive collaboration in wireless sensor networks (WSN). The framework also allows the evaluation of collaborative channel equalization (CCE) performance as one aspect of receive collaboration. Our analysis shows that the use of receive collaboration to receive signals from remote sources is energy efficient with reasonable computational load and memory consumption. However, the increased time delay is a restricting parameter, which limits the application of receive collaboration to a small number of cooperating nodes and to rather short data streams.
