The research of H-shaped coupling slot microstrip antenna array

In order to broad bandwidth and reduce back radiation, a novel microstrip antenna element operating at millimeter-wave band is proposed which is used H-shaped coupling slot feeding and adds parasitic patch methods. Then, using this antenna element, we design 2x2 microstrip antenna arrays and their feeding network. Comparing with traditional feeding network, H-shaped coupling slot feeding methods has little influence to radiation pattern which has low side lobe and was liable to integrate with other millimeter-wave circuit. Radiation patterns are given and as high as 19% (VSWR<2) band width is realized.
