Three‐port parameters and equivalent circuit of radially polarized piezoelectric ceramic cylinders of finite length

Three‐port parameters of radially polarized piezoelectric ceramic cylinders of arbitrary length‐to‐radius ratio are presented. The three‐port impedance matrix is first obtained by using two‐dimensional electroelastic equations of state and the membrane approximation. It is then used to obtain an equivalent circuit. Admittance and A matrices are also derived. The matrices are then used to determine the input electrical admittance and the acceleration sensitivity for various boundary conditions to illustrate some of their uses.
