Addressing the Raven's Progressive Matrices Test of "General" Intelligence

TheRaven'sProgressiveMatrices� (RPM)� testisa� commonlyusedtestofgeneralhumanintelligence.�� The� RPMissomewhatuniqueasageneralintelligencete stin� thatitfocusesonvisualproblemsolving,�andinp articular,� onvisualsimilarityandanalogy.��Wearedevelopin gasmall� setofmethodsforproblemsolvingintheRPMwhich �use� propositional,� imagistic,� andmultimodalrepresenta tions,� respectively,� toinvestigatehowdifferentrepresen tations� cancontributetovisualproblemsolvingandhowth eeffects� oftheirusemightemergeinbehavior.�
