Using Taxonomies on Objects and Attributes to Discover Generalized Patterns

In this paper, we show how the existence of taxonomies on objects and/or attributes can be used in formal concept analysis to help discover generalized patterns in the form of concepts. To that end, we an- alyze three generalization cases and dierent scenarios of a simultaneous generalization on both objects and attributes. We also contrast the number of generalized patterns against the number of simple patterns.
