Specific emitter identification (SEI) and classical parameter fusion technology

Specific emitter identification (SEI), coupled with classical parameter technology, provides signal identification in a dynamic threat environment where both sides employ exotic emitters and/or utilize identical platforms, thereby creating chaotic battlefield situations. Signal identification using classical techniques, needs to be extended to handle these future conflicts because existing Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) and other collection systems employing classical parameters such as frequency, amplitude, pulse width, and pulse repetition rate, are unable to reliably distinguish between lethal and non-lethal threats.
