Method and apparatus for providing robot component management

PURPOSE: A robot component management device and method are provided to sense a state of robot components; to determine malfunction of the robot components; and to perform a recovery process, thereby minimizing the malfunction of a robot and supplying a continued service. CONSTITUTION: A component monitoring unit(102) monitors a state of robot components in a robot application. A malfunction determination unit(104) determines malfunction of the robot components based on a monitoring result and generates malfunction information corresponding to a malfunction determination result. A malfunction recovery policy management unit(106) determines a malfunction recovery policy model by using malfunction information. A malfunction recovery unit(108) recovers the malfunction of the robot components corresponding to the malfunction recovery policy model. When the malfunction is generated, the malfunction determination unit generates malfunction information.
