RGSS-negotiation: A genetic-based approach for web service security negotiation

RGSS-Negotiation is a Repaired Genetic Security Service Negotiation approach. Security as a non-functional requirement for web service is an important trend. This is due to the different levels of security the consumer and the provider demand or supply. In a web service negotiation, researchers negotiate QoS objects (attributes). Negotiating security levels is not addressed so far. In this paper, an automated genetic based approach for security negotiation among services is conducted to get an acceptable security level for both sides. This approach is conducted in a multilateral multi-objective environment. Besides, it is validated with a traditional time-based security negotiation approach. We get that, proposed approach outperforms the traditional time-based security negotiation approach. In addition, RGSS-Negotiation approach always has a solution. In contrast to that, the traditional time-based approach is successful with no more than 80%. Furthermore, the effectiveness and scalability of the proposed approach is indorsed in this paper.
