Light fidelity handoff mechanism for content streaming in high speed rail networks

Fast growing 5G technology is brought in with Light Fidelity (LiFi) which was overcome by the use of Wireless fidelity (WiFi). WiFi is a provision to use internet only within certain coverage area. But using WiFi is restricted in some regions of applications since their communication is performed via radio frequencies. To overcome this, LiFi is introduced where communication is by means of visible light rays which are harmless to human beings. We propose content streaming in high speed rail networks for passengers better experience on using light fidelity with 5G. Passengers in train can access internet using LiFi with effiecient modulation techniques like Asymmetric and Symmetric Clipping Optical — Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (ASCO-OFDM). The passengers using internet need to handover in case of change in connectivity between Access Points (APs). The handover mechanism proposed is based on estimation of Signal to Interference Ratio (SIR) which is followed by the combination of grey system and neural network. This paper contains a full analysis of handover mechanism between LiFi and WiFi APs based on SIR estimation preceded with grey system in conjunction with a neural network.
