O2MAD : A scilab toolbox for output only modal analysis and diagnosis

In this paper we describe the functionalities of a Scilab toolbox for modal analysis with output only measurements. Scilab is a comprehensive scientific package freely distributed by INRIA. The 02MAD toolbox is partly written in the Scilab language and partly in fortran and C. We briefly recall the underlying modelling and theoretical procedures. Using the modal analysis of an airplane structure we show the different capabilities of this toolbox, illustrating the flexibility of such a tool and the role of the mechanical expertise needed in the decision loop.
