Theoretical autoionisation rates of the 1s2p2 2D and 1s2s2p 2P0 states of Li

By applying a many-electron approach to the calculation of autoionising states, which takes electron correlation and non-orthonormality into account, the authors have obtained the autoionisation rates of the Li 1s2p2 2D and (1s(2s2p) 3P0) 2P0 states as 15.2*1012 s-1 for 2D and 5.2*1012 s-1 for 2P0. Contrary to previous theory, these results agree with the recent experimental values of Cederquist and Mannervik (1982) which are 15.8+or-0.4*1012 s-1 for 2D and 4.0+or-0.2*1012 s-1 for 2P0.
