A mathematical model of the positive rotation six connecting rod machine on the base of LHD job Requirement is constructed.The Powell-PSO hybrid algorithm is proposed which synthesize both advantages of the Powell Conjugate Direction Method and the Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm(PSO).Then the six connecting rod machine is designed in the MATLAB environment.The experiment results show that the Powell-PSO Hybrid Algorithm not only overcomes the Powell conjugate direction method's shortcoming about its strong dependence on initial value,but also improves the disadvantage of the PSO's slow convergence on the complex problem.It makes a balance between the computational efficiency and the convergence accuracy.Simulate the design result by the ADAMS software,and the result satisfies all of kinematics request of LHD shovel:the bucket could be set level automatically and so on.Especially,the good translation is improved at a large extent.
