Optical multiple‐variable fuzzy logic array using shadow casting

An optical area-coded scheme is proposed to implement three-variable fuzzy logic based on the shadow-casting technique on one stage. In particular, no thresholding device is required. Experimental results are also given. © 1993 John Wiley & sons, Inc.
