VITRO Architecture: Bringing Virtualization to WSN World

This paper presents the architecture of the VITRO system concept developed under the VITRO project for the realization of Virtual Sensor Networks. The aim of the proposed architecture is to enable the realization of scalable, flexible, adaptive, energy-efficient and trust-aware Virtual Sensor Network platforms, focusing on the reduction of deployment complexity and on advanced interoperability mechanisms. The efforts have been put towards specifying a Service Provisioning architecture and mechanisms for advanced sensor and middleware design.
