Method and node for configuring tunnel on label switching path

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a node for configuring a tunnel, which relate to the field of network communication and aims to solve the problems of operational complexity, heavy workload and high configuration error rate caused by the requirements of the prior art on manual tunnel configuration. The technical scheme provided by the invention comprises the following steps of: transmitting a message of requesting tunnel establishment to a downstream neighbor node of a first node; receiving a response message from the downstream neighbor node, wherein the response message comprises a label allocated to the downstream neighbor node; acquiring an input label corresponding to the label switching path of the second node before the tunnel establishment; acquiring the input label corresponding to the label switching path of the first node before the tunnel establishment as the input label of the first node; and establishing label forwarding table entries according to the input label of the first node, the label allocated to the downstream neighbor node and the input label corresponding to the label switching path of the second node before the tunnel establishment. The technical scheme provided by the invention can be applied in the technical field of automatic label forwarding table entry configuration of the nodes in a network.
