Coordinated Dispatch Regulation Strategy Between Non-AGC Units and AGC Units With High Wind Power Penetration

The power system with high wind power penetration faced high pressure in peak load dispatch and frequency regulation. This paper proposed a coordinated peak-load regulation strategy among the non-automatic generation control(AGC) units, the base load off-regulated automatic generation control(BLO-AGC) units and the base load regulated automatic generation control(BLR-AGC) units.Reserve capacity of the BLO units and the BLR units was adjusted firstly. The strategy would be started immediately if the BLO units or the BLR units lacked reserve capacity.During the whole regulation process, base power of the BLR units was calculated according to load and wind power forecast error probability distribution, making the base power set probabilistic reasonable; The NON-AGC units were mainly operated by daily dispatch plan.Once the BLO units lacked reserve capacity, the power output of the NON-AGC units would be adjusted; The BLO units gave support to the BLR units in every online dispatch schedule.Result showed that the coordinated strategy was feasible.
