Iron–diimine–cyanide complexes as probes for aqueous micellar systems

Medium effects on the charge-transfer bands of solvatochromic iron–diimine–cyanide complexes in aqueous micellar systems are described. The observed shifts in max for these bands are discussed in terms of the charges on both the complexes and the surfactants, and in relation to the critical micellar concentrations.
