PURPOSE: To efficiently select a program to watch or record by displaying a program name arrayed corresponding to the former selecting frequency by a user and displaying a graphic and text description each time of selecting a program name at t e same time through a computer. CONSTITUTION: CPU 170 of the computer 100 stores the TV program name, the broadcasting time and the text description of a cable source 110 and the tuner 115 in a memory 150. In addition CPU 170 makes a graphic inside video processor and graphic display generators 155 and 157 display a schedule layout table A on television 130 through an I/O device 160. The table A displays program names in an order learned based on the former selecting frequency of the user and simultaneously displays the graphic, the text description, etc., of the program each time of selecting a program. Thereby, a user efficiently selects a television program to watch or to record in a video recorder 140.
