The invention provides a method and a terminal capable of automatically accessing a Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) network, wherein the method capable of accessing the Wi-Fi network comprises the following steps of: obtaining a current mobile network position identification per se by the terminal; judging the current mobile network position identification per se whether is stored in a Wi-Fi access position list by the terminal, wherein the Wi-Fi access position list is used for storing related identifications which can provide Wi-Fi wireless signal access and are corresponding to regions; when the terminal affirms that the current mobile network position identification per se is stored in the Wi-Fi access position list, a Wi-Fi access module is in an open state, and starting processes for Wi-Fi searching a network and connecting to the network. In the embodiment of the invention, a problem of inconvenient Wi-Fi working state control of the terminal caused by non-continuous covering of Wi-Fi access points can be better solved.
