The Effect of Sulfanilamide on Experimental Leprosy
暂无分享,去创建一个
In the present investigation a virulent mouse strain of the lepra bacillus was employed, the behavior of which has been previously described in infected rats and mice (Krakower and Gonz"lez).2 One per cent sulfanilamide and, on one occasion, 1%o sulfathiazole were incorporated in the diet, thus assuring a constant adequate intake of the drug. Treatment was maintained both throughout the whole of the experimental period and various parts thereof. Chaulmestrol and trypan blue are briefly mentioned as they were used in combination with sulfanilamide in some experiments to determine what combined effect these agents would have on the course of the disease.
